Female drain gnats or often called drain flies can lay up to 100 eggs at once and in just two days the eggs will hatch into drain worms.

The breeding and developmental sites for these small flies often called sink gnats are varied but for the most part include habitats that stay moist and contain decomposing waste components. I left this unbothered in these drains for 30 45 minutes and voila they re gone.
